CBP Issues Guidance on Section 232 Aluminum Quotas for the United Arab Emirates

On January 27, 2021, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #45967303, U.S. Customs and Border Protection issued guidance on the newly established absolute quota for imports aluminum from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962.

The quota must be claimed on entries effective February 3, 2021. All entries submitted from January 1 through March 31, 2021 will count towards the Q1 2021 quota limits.
