CBP Issues Guidance on Implementing CBMA

On January 29, 2020, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #41471157, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published the procedures and requirements for importations made during the 2020 calendar year under the Craft Beverage and Modernization and Tax Reform Act of 2017 (CBMA).

The guidance addresses subjects including:

  • CBP processing of CBMA claims;
  • Completing CBMA claims; and
  • Submitting the required documentation.
