On September 22, 2020, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #44172307 and #44172343, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued guidance on technical amendments related to the extension of certain product exclusions for Section 301 List 3. The extensions and amendments are effective from August 7, 2020, through December 31, 2020.
On September 24, 2020, in CSMS #44198137, CBP issued guidance on the Section 301 List 2 extensions of certain product exclusions announced in Federal Register Notice (FRN) 85 FR 59595. The extensions apply to 17 product descriptions and can be claimed under 9903.88.59. They are effective from September 20, 2020, through December 31, 2020.
