On June 5, 2023, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #56517869, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued guidance on the extensions of 81 Section 301 medical product exclusions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Four were extended through May 31, 2023, and the remaining 77 were extended through September 30, 2023.
The extensions were announced by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) on May 17, 2023. They can be claimed under 9903.88.66 through May 31, 2023, and under 9903.88.68 from June 1, 2023.
