On March 22, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) alert titled Stopping Forced Labor in the Supply Chain. The alert “addresses some of the U.S. government efforts designed to stop imports into the U.S. that were mined, produced or manufactured wholly or in part by forced labor.” The alert also highlights the forced labor minimum security criterion required by the CTPAT program.
