On March 26, 2018, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued changes to the Interim Guidance for Filing TFTEA Drawback Claims.
The changes listed include:
- Update to “Important Legal Notes” to provide guidance on resources available for claims to be accepted;
- Changes to the Mixed Claims Policy outlining required documentation;
- Clarification on CBP’s First-Filer Rule Policy.
According to CBP, the guidance document is for reference purposes only, is in draft, and reflects CBP’s framework for drawback pending the final regulatory changes.
