On August 30, 2021, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #49218940 and #49218964, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced an increase in the allocation for the raw sugar quota. The additional allocation is for 90,100,000 kg and applies to the 2021 tariff rate quota (TRQ) that ends on September 30, 2021. The reporting deadline is also extended until October 31, 2021. The 2022 raw sugar TRQ will not be changed to account for the reporting extension and begins on October 1, 2021.
