On March 26, 2020, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #42161666, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that they are no longer accepting duty deferral requests for the COVID-19 emergency.

Duties, taxes, and fees that should have been tendered from March 20th through March 26th must be initiated by March 27th.  This applies to parties who submitted requests in writing to CBP for additional days for payments.
