CBP Deploys Entry Type 13 Test and Resources

In two Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletins issued in July; U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the deployment of the Entry Type 13 (ET13) test in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).

The ET13 test was deployed on July 24, 2026, in ACE as a new entry type for electronically submitting U.S. Postal Service (USPS) international mail shipment data. ET 13 will officially deploy in production in ACE on September 22, 2026.

CBP also provided updated implementation guides to support ET13 testing and eventual deployment, including draft updates to several CBP and Customs Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR) documents.
