CBP Delays EEI Hold and Hold Release Notification Message Deployment

On May 17, 2022, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #56298143, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced a delay in the deployment of functionality to allow CBP Officers the option to notify filers of Electronic Export Information (EEI) via the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) of Hold and Hold Release messages. CBP originally published CSMS #562144779 stating it would be available on May 18, 2023. The new deployment date will be announced in a future CSMS message.

The messages are available for testing the in the certification environment.
