On December 16, 2022, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #54387492, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the due date and amount of the 2023 annual user fee assessed for a broker’s national permit in a Federal Register notice (FRN).

CBP assesses the annual fee for active national permits in the broker’s processing port. District permits are eliminated as of December 19, 2022, and therefore, no user fee is required for districts.

The fee for 2023 will be $163.71 for national permits only and is due by February 24, 2023.
