CBP Announces User Fee Changes

On July 28, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) # 57131638 announcing changes to various fees collected on Customs entries.

Per the CSMS, the Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) ad valorem rate will not change, however the minimum and maximum amounts for formal entries will increase from $29.66 to $31.67, and from $575.35 to $614.35, respectively.

The CSMS also includes increases for other fees. 

The fee changes will become effective on October 1, 2023.
