CBP Announces Update to Center of Excellence and Expertise Trade Process Document

On June 28, 2017 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #17-000377 announcing an update to the Center of Excellence and Expertise (CEE) Trade Process Document, last updated in 2014.

The Trade Process Document provides information to importers, filers, and brokers on approved procedures for working with the CEEs. The updated document advises on CEE supervisors and their contact information, how to send entry summary documentation, and makes known that CEES, “are now permanent organizations with full regulatory authority to make post-entry decisions.”
