CBP Announces Upcoming User Fee Changes

In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletin published on July 29, 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced changes to various fees collected on Customs entries.

Per the CSMS, the Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) ad valorem rate will not change, however the minimum and maximum amounts for formal entries will increase from $31.67 to $32.71, and from $614.35 to $634.62, respectively.

The CSMS also includes increases for other fees. 

These fee changes will become effective on October 1, 2024.
