CBP Announces Tuna Tariff-Rate Quota Limit for Calendar Year 2023

In a Federal Register Notice (FRN) on July 7, 2023, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the tariff-rate quota (TRQ) quantity for tuna in airtight containers for calendar year 2023. 13,377,875 kilograms of tuna in airtight containers may be entered at a duty rate of 6% ad valorem under subheading 1604.14.22 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS). Tuna in excess of this amount may be entered under subheading 1604.14.30 at a rate of 12.5% ad valorem.
