CBP Announces Port Closures in Preparation of Hurricane Irma

Recently, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #17-000544 and 17-000546 regarding port closures in preparation of Hurricane Irma.

The below CBP ports will cease operations on September 8, 2017 and have not yet listed the dates that they will reopen:

  • CBP Area Port of Savannah
  • CBP Port of Brunswick

The below ports have listed varying closures or reduced hours of operation:

  • 5201 – Miami Seaport: Closed through September 10, 2017
  • 5202 – Port of Key West: Suspended until further notice
  • 5203 – Port Everglades: Closed through September 10, 2017
  • 5206 – Miami International Airport: September 9, 2017
    • Cargo: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
    • Agriculture: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • 1803 – Port of Jacksonville: Closed through September 10, 2017
  • 5204 – Port of West Palm Beach: Suspended until further notice
