CBP Announces Accelerated Payments Available for USMCA Drawback

In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletin published on July 26, 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that Accelerated Payment (AP) will be available for all United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) drawback claims.

Claimants will be to request AP for unliquidated claims on file that meet all applicable requirements once programming in Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) has been deployed.

This functionality is expected to go live in ACE in late August 2024 and CBP will provide a confirmation CSMS once after deployment.
