As part of the updates to the 64th Edition of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), effective January 1, 2023, various state variations were revised. Notably, the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) has included state variation BRG-05. This variation requires a certificate of approval for any UN Specification packaging that originates or has a destination in Brazil.

Carriers are responsible to ensure that the required documentation is received during the acceptance process.

The Link to all state variations can be found on the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) website here: https://www.icao.int/safety/DangerousGoods/Pages/StateVariationPage.aspx
