Argentina Waives Import Criteria Values

On October 9, 2024, the Argentinian Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) published General Resolution 5582/2024 which repeals General Resolution 2,730 and waives Argentina’s Import Criteria Values system.

The Import Criteria Values provided reference prices for imported goods. These goods can now be selected for value verification based on product risk analysis. This allows importers to submit fewer guarantee equivalent payments that had previously covered duty differences on lower-value goods.

General Resolution 5582/2024 entered into force on October 10, 2024.
