Argentina Accepted in the BRICS Alliance

On August 24, 2023, on the official “Casa Rosada” website, the Argentinian President Alberto Fernandez announced the incorporation of Argentina into the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) alliance. According to the notice, Argentina aims to integrate with different entities at a regional and global level to increase the opportunities to open new markets, strengthen the existing ones, increase foreign direct investment and employment opportunities, and develop new and better technologies. Argentina’s main BRICS trade partners are Brazil, China, and India.
