ACE Portal to Allow Trade Users to Add Notify Parties

In a notice published on December 22, 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced an upcoming feature in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) that will allow Trade Account Owners (TAOs) to authorize new “4811 notify parties.”

Currently, importers are required to submit a completed CBP Form 4811 to a CBP Center of Excellence and Expertise to designate a 4811 notify party. This automation will allow TAOs to add new notification parties in real time. Notification parties are still required to have a CBP Form 5106 on record with CBP to be authorized.

This new functionality will be available in the ACE Portal on January 2, 2026.
