Hurricane Dorian: Sept. 3, 2019

Hurricane Dorian is now a record breaking category 5 storm tracking west towards Florida. A sharp turn north is expected, a wider region of heavy rain, tropical and hurricane force winds, and strong storm surge will play a factor along the Florida, Georgia and the Carolina's coast.

Miami, Florida 

Expeditors location: closed on Tuesday September 3rd. 60 mph winds are expected in the area. Conditions will likely improve during the afternoon when facility will be inspected. The facility is expected to return to normal operations on Wednesday September 4th.

Ocean Ports:  Closed on Monday September 2nd until further notice

Miami International Airport: Open on Monday September 2nd. Operating with extreme delays.

Fort Lauderdale Airport:  Closed on Monday September 2nd until further notice.

 

Orlando, Florida 

Expeditors location: Closed on Tuesday September 3rd

Orlando International Airport: Closed Tuesday, September 3rd at 2:00 am until further notice.

 

Tampa, Florida 

Expeditors location: Closed on Tuesday September 3rd

Tampa International Airport: Open and operating as usual

Tampa Ocean Port: Open and operating as usual

 

Jacksonville, Florida

Expeditors location: closed on Tuesday September 3rd .

Jacksonville Ocean Port: Closing at 12:00 PM on Tuesday September 3rd and will re-open on Thursday September 5th

Customs: Closing at 12:00 PM on Tuesday September 3rd and will re-open on Thursday September 5th

 

Savannah, Georgia

Expeditors location: Closed on Tuesday September 3rd and Wednesday September 4th. The branch is located in a mandatory evacuation area.

Expeditors Distribution Facility: Closed on Tuesday September 3rd and Wednesday September 4th.

Savannah Airport: Open and operating as usual.

Savannah Ocean Port: Closed on Tuesday September 3rd and Wednesday September 4th.

Customs: Closed on Tuesday September 3rd and Wednesday September 4th.

 

Charleston, South Carolina 

Expeditors location: Branch open Tuesday (September 3rd ).

Closed Wednesday (September 4th) with possible skeleton crew reporting.

Closed Thursday (September 5th) with no operations.

Charleston International Airport: Open and operating as usual.

Charleston Ocean Port: Coast Guard issued port condition Whiskey. Open on Tuesday September 3rd. Closed Wednesday and Thursday.
