Shanghai Covid-19 Update: May 11, 2022

As of 10:00am May 11th, Shanghai reported 56,383 positive cases (228 new cases) and 578,246 asymptomatic cases (1,259 new cases) since March 1st, 2022.

Starting from 12:00am on April 2nd, people leaving Shanghai need to show a negative antigen test result within 24 hours and a negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours.

On May 3rd, the second edition of the Guidelines for Shanghai Industrial Enterprises to Resume Production with Pandemic Prevention and Control was released, with several articles modified and some new measures added.

Shanghai will continue to carry out “nucleic acid + antigen” combination testing. The “3 Risk Areas” will be adjusted according to the test results. Shanghai CDC announced that no new variants with a stronger transmission have been found.

There are eight districts and some areas of the Pudong district that have been cleared. These eight districts are Fengxian, Jinshan, Chongming, Qingpu, Songjiang, Putuo, Jiading, and Xuhui.
