The Malaysian government has announced a two-week nationwide lockdown to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
Following that lockdown announcement, and in response, Thailand issued an order closing all 13 temporary checkpoints on the Malaysia-Thailand border for two weeks.
The Laos government also announced closure of its borders with Vietnam.
