Oct 10th, 2024 – Hurricane Milton has completed its path over the Florida peninsula in the United States. The hurricane canceled over 1,600 flights, largely affecting Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Several airports remain temporarily closed, including Tampa (TPA), Orlando (MCO), Sarasota (SRQ), and St. Pete (PIE). The airports are expected to reopen after damage assessments have been made, and it is determined safe to resume operations. Miami (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) remain open.

Our local Expeditors employees are safe, and facilities are undamaged. Many areas are still without power and at risk of flash flooding. Expect cargo delays as airports begin to reopen and resume cargo operations.

For questions or concerns regarding possibly affected cargo, please reach out to your local Expeditors contact.
