Hurricane Maria Update: Sept. 19, 2017

Maria is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h) and this general motion is expected to continue through Wednesday night. On the forecast track, the eye of Maria will move over the northeastern Caribbean Sea today, and then pass near or over the Virgin Islands overnight and Puerto Rico on Wednesday. It is expected to be near northeast coast of Dominican Republic on Thursday. There is a Hurricane warning for the north side of the island and a Tropical Storm warning for the south where is located Santo Domingo.

Infrastructure Updates

Puerto Rico

Our office in San Juan is closed until further notice. All government agencies, schools, ocean terminals will be closed through Wednesday. Flight cancellations have already begun and there will be severe delays in Puerto Rico until further notice. 

Dominican Republic

Major ports will be closed starting Wednesday afternoon. Local trucking companies, terminals, ocean and air carriers offices, and airports will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 21st. Our office in Santo Domingo will also be closed Thursday, Sept. 21st
