The ILWU Canada began a strike action on July 1st as ongoing talks between the ILWU and the BCMEA have not resulted in an agreement on renewed contract terms.
Both sides continue to negotiate today while the ports of Vancouver and Prince Rupert adjust operations to mitigate cargo buildup.
