A Fair Work Commission hearing in relation to the proposed Svitzer industrial action commenced at midday Australian Eastern daylight time on November 16.

The hearing will continue today from 1300 Australian Eastern daylight time to decide whether or not to terminate or suspend industrial action by towage operator Svitzer. The full bench hearing is to resume on Friday morning if required.
