DP World have advised that the Protected Industrial Action by the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union – Maritime Union of Australia will continue through to December 4th at this stage which is having an ongoing impact to their operations in Brisbane, Fremantle, Melbourne, and Sydney.
As well as work stoppages and bans on overtime and shift extensions there will be a 24 hour stoppage in Sydney on November 27-28th from 6am and in Brisbane on 2nd-3rd December from 3pm.
A number of vessels have been sub-contracted to other terminals by shipping lines but delays persist. This is impacting available space from origins across Asia as vessels are not able to return to origin ports of loading on time and are therefore struggling to maintain schedule reliability.
