In an Executive Order (EO) and its accompanying Fact Sheet published on August 11, 2025, the White House announced that it was extending the lower reciprocal tariff rate on China while trade talks continue.

Originally, this lower rate of 10% was scheduled to revert to China’s specific country rate of 34% on August 12, 2025.

The current 10% reciprocal tariff will remain in effect until November 10, 2025.
