USTR & USDA Seek Trade Advisory Committee Applicants

On October 15, 2020, in a press release, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that they are accepting applicants for new members for seven agricultural trade advisory committees. Members serve for four years.

These committees “focus on trade in:

  • Animals and animal products; 
  • Fruits and vegetables; 
  • Grains, feed, oilseeds and planting seeds;
  • Processed foods;
  • Sweeteners and sweetener products; and
  • Tobacco, cotton and peanuts.”

Applicants should have “significant expertise in both agriculture and international trade matters.” Applications are due November 13, 2020, and details on qualifications are included in the press release here:
