USTR Requests Public Comments on 2027 USMCA Joint Review

In a Federal Register Notice (FRN) published on October 5, 2026, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced that it is seeking public comments in advance of the 2027 annual joint review of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).

In particular, USTR is seeking comments regarding:

  • The operation and implementation of the USMCA;
  • USMCA compliance obligation issues;
  • Recommendations for specific actions to be proposed at the joint review;
  • The strength of the North America investment climate and factors that affect it; and
  • Strategies to strengthen North American competitiveness and economic security.

Comments can be submitted at https://comments.ustr.gov/s/ until 11:59 p.m. EST on January 12, 2027.
