USTR Requests Comments for 2027 National Trade Estimate Report

In a Federal Register Notice (FRN) published on September 14, 2026, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) requested public comments for the 2027 National Trade Estimate Report (NTE Report).

The NTE Report is published each year to assist in “identifying significant foreign barriers to, or distortions of, U.S. exports of goods and services and U.S. foreign direct investment.” USTR is requesting comments on a range of topics, including import policies, technical barriers to trade, intellectual property protection, and anticompetitive practices.

Comments must be submitted by Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EDT through the Federal eRulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov/.
