USTR Announces Section 301 Hearing for Timber in Vietnam

On November 25, 2020, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a Federal Register Notice (FRN) announcing a public hearing on the Section 301 investigation into Vietnam’s “acts, policies, and practices related to the import and use of illegally harvested or traded timber.”  The virtual hearing will be held on December 28, 2020.  Requests to testify can be submitted through December 10, 2020.

USTR will provide additional opportunities for public comment and will consider rebuttal comments submitted through January 6, 2021.
