USTR Announces Section 301 Exclusion Changes

On July 8, 2020, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) announced the extension of certain exclusions granted in the sixth round of product exclusions on List 1 of the Section 301.  The extension is through December 31, 2020 and can be claimed under 9903.88.52.  The Round 6 exclusions not extended in this notice expired July 9, 2020.

On July 7, 2020, USTR announced the sixth round of product exclusions on List 4A of Section 301.  The exclusions cover 61 product descriptions addressing 86 separate exclusion requests.  Product descriptions include:

  • Certain printed art;
  • Various plastic products; and
  • Various types of fabric.

These exclusions are effective from September 1, 2019 until September 1, 2020 and can be claimed under 9903.88.51.
