On July 31, 2017, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a press release announcing the revised country-specific in-quota allocations of the tariff-rate quotas (TRQ) for imported raw cane sugar for fiscal year 2017.

According to the release, “the allocations are based on each country’s historical shipments to the United States. The allocations of the raw cane sugar TRQ to countries that are net importers of sugar are conditioned on receipt of the appropriate verifications of origin, and certificates for quota eligibility must accompany imports from any country to which an allocation is provided.”

The TRQs will be effective through October 31, 2017.
