USTR Announces Additional Exclusions for Section 301 List 1

On May 14, 2019, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) announced additional product exclusions for List 1 of the Section 301 tariffs.

The exclusions cover five ten-digit Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) subheadings and thirty-five specific product descriptions.

The excluded products include, but are not limited to:

  • Outboard motors;

  • Forklifts;

  • ATM machine parts;

  • Certain pressure-reducing valves;

  • Certain pulleys;

  • Certain machinery for pumps;

  • Certain conveyors;

  • Certain AC and DC motors;

  • Certain remote control devices.

The exclusions will be retroactive to July 6, 2018, and will extend for one year after the publication of the notice.
