On June 8, 2020, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a notice announcing additional exclusions on products of Chinese origin subject to the fourth list of Section 301 tariffs.
The exclusions cover two ten-digit tariff subheadings and 32 product descriptions, addressing 55 separate exclusion requests.
Product descriptions listed include, but are not limited to:
- Various gloves;
- Certain lithium-ion batteries; and
- Certain watch cases.
The exclusions are retroactive to September 1, 2019 and will be valid through September 1, 2020. They can be claimed under 9903.88.49.
