On May 4, 2020, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a notice announcing additional exclusions on products of Chinese origin subject to the third list of Section 301 tariffs.
The exclusions cover two ten-digit tariff subheadings and 144 product descriptions, addressing 185 separate exclusion requests.
Product descriptions listed include, but are not limited to:
- Various chemicals;
- Certain backpacks; and
- Various glass products and mirrors.
The exclusions are retroactive to September 24, 2018 and will be valid through August 7, 2020. They can be claimed under 9903.88.46.
