On February 10, 2020, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a notice announcing additional exclusions on products of Chinese origin subject to the first list of Section 301 tariffs.

The exclusions cover 4 product descriptions:

  • Certain centrifugal pumps;
  • Certain hydraulic pump pistons and housings;
  • Furnace roll end-shafts of steel; and
  • Certain AC motors.

The exclusions are retroactive to July 6, 2018 and will be valid through October 1, 2020.  They can be claimed under 9903.88.19.

This notice also contains several amendments to correct typographical and ministerial errors and account for the 2020 tariff changes.
