USDA Seeks Public Comment on Food Safety Information Collection

In a Federal Register Notice (FRN) published on July 3, 2025, The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced its intention to renew information collection from import inspection collection.

There are no proposed changes to the required information on forms such as the Foreign Inspection Certificates or Import Inspection Application. FSIS is requesting the renewal of this data collection before it expires on December 31,2025.

Comment must be submitted on or before September 2, 2025, and can be submitted via mail or through the Federal eRulemaking Portal at https://www.regulations.gov.
