USDA Announces Upland Cotton Special Import Quota #1

On October 19, 2023, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced, “special import quota for upland cotton that permits importation of a quantity of upland cotton equal to one week’s domestic mill use.”

The quota will be established as of October 26, 2023, and will apply to upland cotton purchased by January 23, 2024, and entered the U.S. before April 22, 2024. Entries under this quota can be entered under Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) subheading 9903.52.1.
