US State Department Seeks Comments on CAFTA-DR Environmental Affairs Council Meeting

On August 17, 2022, in a Federal Register Notice (FRN), the US State Department issued a request for comments on the fifteenth meeting of the Dominican Republic-Central America-United States Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA-DR) Environmental Affairs Council. The meeting will take place in Washington D.C. on October 6-7, 2022. Comments should address the implementation of Chapter 17 of the agreement as well as the topics for the meeting, which include:

  • Environmental protections and enforcement;
  • Activities under the Environment Cooperation Program; and
  • Possible cooperation opportunities.

Comments are due October 2, 2022.
