On March 15, 2022, in two press releases, the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced a series of sanctions and controls “to promote accountability for the Russian and Belarusian governments’ human rights abuses and violations within and outside their borders.” The Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has published a landing page on the export controls in place for Russia and Belarus.
