US and Mongolia Enter Into Transparency Agreement

On January 19, 2017 the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced the Transparency Agreement in Matters Related to International Trade and Investment between the United States and Mongolia will enter into force in 60 days.

Each country confirmed all applicable requirements and procedures had been met before signing the agreement. According to the announcement, “The U.S.-Mongolia transparency agreement applies to matters relating to international trade and investment and includes joint commitments to provide opportunities for public comment on proposed laws and regulations and to publish final laws and regulations.”

The Transparency Agreement will go into effect on March 20, 2017.
