Update: Canadian National (CN) Rail in Negotiations with Teamster’s Canada Rail Conference (TCRC)

On May 29, 2017 a collective agreement between CN and the TCRC had been tentatively reached pending ratification by the union’s membership.  CN Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer Jean-Jacques Ruest announced the withdrawal of the earlier announced Force Majeure.

According to a message from CN, “I am pleased to announce that CN has reached a tentative collective agreement with the Teamsters Rail Conference (TCRC-CTY), the union representing CN’s conductors in Canada.” The details of the agreement are currently pending ratification by the union’s membership.

The notice of withdrawal of the earlier Force Majeure will take effect immediately.
