On March 9, 2020, the government of the United Kingdom (UK) issued guidance on coronavirus (COVID-19) for businesses.  The guidance outlines the steps being taken by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the UK Export Finance (UKEF) to support businesses, including:

  • Assistance with seeking alternative suppliers;
  • Loan assistance to ease cash flow constraints;
  • Insurance to cover costs from the inability to fulfill orders; and
  • Assistance for overseas buyers to enable continued orders.

Questions for DIT can be directed to: COVID19@trade.gov.uk.

Questions for UKEF can be directed to: customer.service@ukexportfinance.gov.uk.
