On March 9, 2020, the government of the United Kingdom (UK) issued guidance on coronavirus (COVID-19) for businesses. The guidance outlines the steps being taken by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the UK Export Finance (UKEF) to support businesses, including:
- Assistance with seeking alternative suppliers;
- Loan assistance to ease cash flow constraints;
- Insurance to cover costs from the inability to fulfill orders; and
- Assistance for overseas buyers to enable continued orders.
