U.S. President Imposes Additional Duties on Imports of Turkish Steel

On August 10, 2018, U.S. President Donald Trump increased the Section 232 duty rate on steel articles that originate from the Republic of Turkey to 50%.

The effective date of the new ad valorem rate is August 13, 2018 at 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) directs questions on Section 232 filing requirements to traderemedy@cbp.dhs.gov.
