Turkey Imposes Tariffs on U.S. Goods in Response to U.S. Section 232 Tariffs on Steel and Aluminum

On June 21, 2018, the Government of Turkey’s list of retaliatory tariffs went into effect in response to the U.S. Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum.

The list of tariffs, communicated by the World Trade Organization (WTO) on behalf of Turkey on May 21, 2018, included U.S. origin agricultural products, cosmetics, plastics, automobiles, alcohol, paper products, machinery, and other products. The additional duty on the tariffs range from 4% to 70%.
