Switzerland Implements Additional Restrictions on Medical Protective Equipment

Posted by Jessica Hajj on 4/9/20 5:00 PM

On March 25, 2020, the Swiss Government adopted a new regulation, taking effect as of March 26, requiring a prior license for any exports of medical protective equipment to third countries, except for exports to European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states. Export licenses have to be applied for with State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) through their online export control system.

The measures are meant to be aligned with the EU Regulation issued on March 15, 2020.
